Satellite Information
To ensure that you will receive the broadcast on February 12-13, you must participate in the mandatory equipment test. All host site coordinators will receive complete instructions on the test days/times and testing procedures via email.
Self Test and Mandatory Test
During the Self Test you will be able to select both the date and the time convenient for you to perform the satellite equipment test. During the Mandatory Test periods we ask that all host sites test their equipment on the same, prearranged day. Please mark your calendars and follow the instructions below . After each test, leave your receiver turned-on.
Self Test
Select a convenient program from regular CCN programming. Click here to open the 2008 programming schedule. Choose a program for you and /or your technical person to watch a CCN broadcast for 15 to 20 minutes.

Make sure both the audio and the video are working well. After each test, leave your receiver turned-on. If you are viewing in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zone, locate the BTV channel (see Time Delay for Pacific and Mountain Time Zones section below.) If you experience any technical difficulties, call immediately for assistance to 1-800-321-6781.
Mandatory Test
We ask you to take part in the Mandatory Test which we will schedule and let you know of by email. We'll ask you to watch for 15 to 20 minutes to make sure both audio and video signals are high quality, then call your Ministry Consultant to confirm your test was successful. Leave your receiver turned-on after the Mandatory Test.
Why is the Mandatory Test so Important?
After 12:00 noon MT on _______________ it will be difficult to guarantee equipment replacement or to schedule a service call to arrive before the program on Saturday. If you have any questions or issues during or after the Mandatory Test, please let us know immediately, call 1-800-321-6781 and ask for technical assistance.
Time Delay for Pacific and Mountain Time Zones
In order to accommodate Pacific and Mountain Time Zones, CCN has rented a second channel for the use of all sites in those areas. If you are in the Pacific or Mountain time zones, your program will broadcast to you on the Business Television (BTV) channel. For testing purposes, you will use the CCN channel for Self Test, the BTV channel for the Mandatory Test.
Please familiarize yourself with the Business Television channel during your test. The channel number will vary depending on the receiver model but usually the BTV channel can be found within a range of several channels, up or down, from the CCN channel. Ordinarily, Laotian programming is aired on the BTV channel so do not be alarmed if you see this while you are visiting the BTV channel. If you have any questions about the time delay or the Business Television Channel, call 1-800-321-6781 and ask for technical support.
Satellite Equipment Test Instructions
• If it is not already on, turn-on your receiver.
• Go to the CCN channel. The channel number will vary depending on the receiver model.
• You should be able to view the CCN program or the animated CCN logo and hear the background music on the CCN channel.
• If you are able to see the picture and hear the discussion or music with clarity, you've had a successful test.
Congratulations! Leave your receiver turned-on.
